In the last few years, a large number of Engineering Colleges have opened all over West Bengal. The Government of West Bengal acted timely and in the right direction by bringing all these colleges under the ambit of a single degree awarding institutions, namely, the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).

The step would certainly provide a degree of uniformity in the standard of engineering education imparted in the different colleges by making students from all these colleges appear in the same examination conducted by WBUT. The syllabus is vast hence there is tremendous pressure on the students and the teachers regarding how to study and plan for examinations.

Envisaging the situation, the WBUT has already come up with the model question paper for each subject, a set of five question papers per subject but the students are at loss as which book to buy and read as there is no one book is available in the market which consolidates each subject with text and solutions of questions.
